quality of life among employees at King Khalid Hospital in Jeddah. The researcher adopted the descriptive correlational approach. The study sample consisted of 50 husbands and wives. The researcher developed two scales as study instruments: the Burnout Scale and the Marital Quality of Life Scale. The results showed that the level of burnout among employees at King Khalid Hospital fell within the moderately high range, while the level of marital quality of life among hospital employees was moderate. The findings also revealed a statistically significant negative correlation between burnout and marital quality of life; that is, the higher the level of burnout, the lower the marital quality of life among employees. Moreover, statistically significant differences were found in the level of burnout according to gender, in favor of males; according to years of work, in favor of employees with less than five years of experience; and according to number of children, in favor of employees with three or more children, who showed higher levels of burnout compared with others. The results also indicated statistically significant differences in marital quality of life according to gender, in favor of females; according to years of work, in favor of employees with more than ten years of experience; and according to number of children, in favor of employees who had one to two children.
