direction:ltr;'><strong>Abstract: <\/strong> This study aims to examine the scholarly views and selections of Al-Hafiz Jalal al-Din Al-Suyuti concerning the conditions of hadith narrators as presented in his book Tadrib al-Rawi fi Sharh Taqrib al-Nawawi. It also seeks to reveal his method in presenting, discussing, comparing, and evaluating the opinions of earlier scholars. The study addresses several precise issues in the science of Hadith terminology, including the narration of innovators, the narration of a person accused of lying after repentance, the ruling on a narrator who reports a hadith and later denies it, the narrator who reports a hadith and then forgets it, and the narrator who makes an unintentional mistake in narration but insists on it after correction. The study adopts an analytical-comparative approach by collecting Al-Suyuti\u2019s selections from his book, documenting them, and comparing them with the views of earlier and later scholars, while discussing the strengths and weaknesses of these opinions. The study concludes that Tadrib al-Rawi represents an important encyclopedic work in Hadith sciences and terminology, and that Al-Suyuti was not merely a transmitter of previous scholars\u2019 views; rather, he demonstrated an independent scholarly personality based on critical investigation, comparison, and preference. The findings also show that Al-Suyuti agreed with the majority of scholars on several issues, especially in distinguishing between the condition of the narrator and the condition of the narration itself, and in avoiding excessive rejection of narrations unless a valid reason exists, while maintaining a strict position regarding lying about the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
