Accordingly, the problem of the study lies in the demographic growth and development of the study area during the last three decades, which has affected economic, social, administrative, and security services. The significance of the study stems from the fact that it is a new study in terms of content and scope, and it complements various studies conducted in the state. It provides administrators, executives, specialists, and decision-makers with a substantial amount of data and information that can help them plan properly and develop future plans for the development of the area. The study aimed to identify the geographical characteristics affecting demographic changes in the study area; describe sovereign services and their characteristics in the study area; review the emergence, growth, and development of the study area in terms of population and urban expansion and their impact on services; determine the degree and pace of demographic changes and their relationship with economic and social transformations; and identify the demographic characteristics of the population in order to determine the available human resources. The study adopted a methodology suited to its nature, using the historical method, the descriptive analytical method, and statistical techniques to collect, classify, and analyze data in order to reach realistic results. The study reached several findings, the most important of which are that demographic changes in the study area result from several economic, social, and environmental factors, and that sovereign services in the study area do not keep pace with population growth.
