concept of positive emotional labor among educational counselors. It aims to examine the effect of a self-assertion training program on enhancing this form of emotional labor. To achieve this objective, three hypotheses were tested concerning the absence of statistically significant differences among the research groups in the Positive Emotional Labor Scale across different levels of application (pre-test, post-test, and between the experimental and control groups). The study employed an experimental research design, with a sample comprising 20 educational counselors who obtained the lowest scores on the Positive Emotional Labor Scale. The participants were randomly selected from the Wasit Directorate of Education and were evenly distributed into two groups: an experimental group, which underwent the self-assertion training program, and a control group, which did not receive any intervention. The program consisted of 12 sessions and was based on the principles of Joseph Wolpe\u2019s cognitive-behavioral theory. It was reviewed by field experts, who affirmed its validity for implementation. Two primary instruments were utilized in the study: the Positive Emotional Labor Scale, developed based on Hochschild\u2019s theory, and the training program designed using the self-assertion approach. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to enhancing the performance of educational counselors by improving their ability to manage positive emotional labor, thereby positively influencing the quality of educational counseling.
