direction:ltr;'><strong>Abstract: <\/strong> This study aimed to identify the role of external work stressors in the performance of employees in the public transport sector, as applied to the Sudanese Sea Ports Corporation. It sought to determine the dimensions of these stressors, measure the level of employee performance, and analyze the nature of the relationship between external stressors and job performance. The study adopted the descriptive analytical method, and a questionnaire was used as the main tool for data collection from a random sample of 50 employees working at the Corporation. The data were analyzed using several statistical methods, including frequencies, percentages, means, and the chi-square test. The study found a statistically significant relationship between external work stressors and employee performance. The results showed that economic and social pressures, weak financial incentives, inadequate financial returns, and limited opportunities for promotion and training on modern technologies are influential factors affecting employees\u2019 concentration, satisfaction, and job achievement. The study also revealed that increasing work demands, multiple tasks, and reporting to more than one supervisor contribute to higher levels of stress among employees.
