style='text-align:justify; direction:ltr;'><strong>Abstract: <\/strong> This study aimed to examine the relationship between emotion socialization and behavioral problems among children in late childhood. It also sought to identify the most common patterns of emotion socialization and the most prevalent behavioral problems among the study sample. The study employed a descriptive correlational design. The main sample consisted of 2,060 sixth-grade male and female students who were reached through 22 boys\u2019 and girls\u2019 schools. To achieve the study objectives, the Emotion Socialization Scale, based on the Emotions as a Child scale, was used after translation and cultural adaptation to suit the target age group and context. A Behavioral Problems Scale developed by the researcher was also used. The results showed that override was the most common dimension of emotion socialization, followed by support, whereas punishment ranked last. The findings also indicated that withdrawal was the most prevalent behavioral problem, followed by anxiety and aggressive behavior, while lying ranked last. The results revealed statistically significant correlations between dimensions of emotion socialization and behavioral problems. Neglect and punishment were positively associated with behavioral problems among both males and females. In contrast, some supportive or less negative dimensions, such as support and override, were negatively associated with certain dimensions of behavioral problems. In general, the correlation coefficients among females were higher than those among males.
