standardize the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Scale and verify its psychometric properties among a sample of secondary school students in an Arab secondary school in the Galilee, to examine its suitability for use in the Arab school environment. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive method was employed, and the Davidson Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Scale (1995), consisting of 17 items distributed across three sub-dimensions, was administered to a pilot sample of 36 male and female secondary school students.\r\nTo verify the validity of the scale, it was presented to a panel of expert judges, and construct validity was calculated using Pearson correlation coefficients between the items, their dimensions, and the total score of the scale. Reliability was assessed using Cronbach\u2019s alpha coefficient, the split-half method, and the Spearman\u2013Brown formula.\r\nThe results showed that the scale demonstrated an acceptable degree of validity and reliability in the total score and most of its dimensions. Cronbach\u2019s alpha coefficient for the total score reached 0.88, indicating that the instrument has good internal consistency. In contrast, the Avoidance of Traumatic Event dimension showed relatively lower reliability coefficients compared with the remaining dimensions.\r\nThe study concluded that the scale has acceptable psychometric properties that allow its use in measuring post-traumatic stress symptoms among secondary school students in the Arab school environment.
